Stealing bases

In "slow" pitch you are not allowed to lead-off or steal bases. however in "fast" pitch you can steal bases and lead off. you cannot take your foot off the base until the pitcher releases the ball. you also cannot slide into a person's ankles when trying to slide into the base.

batting

when you are on deck to bat you have to stand in the "prepping" circle that way you aren't able to interfer with the play or get hurt. when you are at the plate to hit, you aren't able to "step in" to get hit by the ball, to get a "free" base in fast pitch. if you step out of the batters box before the umpire calls time and the pitcher throws the ball, it will still count as a strike or ball, even if you aren't in the box.

Uniforms

In high school softball players are not allowed to wear any jewelry which includes:rings, bracelets, earrings, or necklaces. however, in college softball, you are allowed to wear jewelry they must wear softball or soccer cleats and pants that either go to the ankle or met by a high sock.
